Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a doctor's referral?
No. In the state of Tennessee, physical therapists have direct access and can treat a patient for 30 days. If patient requires treatment beyond that point, a doctor's order will be requested to continue therapy. Your doctor may want to see you at this point.
Payment
Cash, check and soon credit cards (**) , FSA and HSA cards may be acceptable as well. Payment is due at time of service and there will be no surprises, you will be informed of cost prior to your treatment. Paperwork will be provided for each session should you need to submit for reimbursement.
Do you take insurance?
I am an out of network provider with insurance. This will allow me to provide you with the care you need without being limited by insurance allowances. This is a fee for service/out of network practice. You and your care are the priority.
How long will I need therapy?
This really depends on why you are being seen and how long it has been a concern for you. Most patients will need 6-8 sessions spread over several weeks. Chronic problems and some pelvic floor patients may find they need more sessions based on their particular situation. This will be discussed with the patient at the first visit and on going assessment will be done to monitor progress and satisfaction with progress.
Paperwork
Paperwork is electronic and will be emailed to you. Please complete prior to session(s). as needed.
